The Greek word eden means paradise. It’s also a biblical symbol for the start of creation. The installation, created by artistic duo Fredrikson Stallard, combines the primal power of water with the mysterious atmosphere of a forest that houses numerous treasures. The waterfall can be seen and heard cascading into the Giant’s underground world, while the 156 brass trees that make up the forest extend throughout the space.
Visitors are invited to let their imagination run free as they explore the environment. Seven crystal structures designed specifically for this Chamber of Wonder represent the largest crystal objects that Swarovski has ever produced, measuring up to 1.86 meters and weighing up to 190kg.
Fredrikson Stallard is a London-based art and design practice founded in 2005 by Patrik Fredrikson (born in 1968 in Malmö, Sweden) and Ian Stallard (born in 1973 in Essex, England). Their iconic sculptures and furniture have made them synonymous with contemporary art and collectible design.
Their award-winning work is recognized for its ability to create emotionally engaging pieces and poignant installations that sit at the intersection of art and design. Their works are part of numerous collections of global institutions. The duo has a long history with Swarovski, including several lighting projects and jewelry collections.
